P2P: Augment your classroom with NFC and audio

In a few years time, Augmented Reality will be the new reality. Meantime, teachers can explore the possibilities through practical experiments using cheap and readily available technologies. This session will appeal to language, drama, and history teachers especially. It is not overly technical or difficult. Participants get to enhance a book, produce digital toy theatre, and design a branching scenario using near field communication (NFC) and audio.

NFC - Debating the merits of NFC over QR Code

Pro NFC:
Don't need an app to launch it
Very easy to use (end user)

Pro QR Code:
Can be used on Apple (as well as other devices)
Can print multiple copies of same code
Can send code via email or other virtual message
